The Countdown

Sticks and stones won't break these bones, but change orders can hurt me.

It happened! We have framing! The project is now 3-D with verticalness!

For the first time, we are able to "feel" what the space is like. Another words, we can walk around saying, "I thought this was going to be bigger" or "this ceiling seems taller than I pictured." Because we did the design ourselves, we've never (nor anyone else) seen it in model form. One of my biggest fears was that what we have conceptualized to death in our heads and on paper wouldn't translate practically to physical space. We've only got one floor up thus far, lovingly referred to as the "guest quarters," but so far so good. I'm sure it will all change again once it's closed in with dry wall.

The plan is to have the second floor tomorrow and the third floor done on Thursday. If we're lucky, some of the roof will be done by the end of the week.

Week 4 - That is one brave man standing on top of our guest shower.
